The Punggol Housing competition entry addressed one of Singapore's most ambitious urban challenges -- the transformation of a former rural and industrial zone into a sustainable new town.
Cipher's proposal centred on the concept of the green corridor: a continuous landscape spine linking all housing blocks directly to the waterway park network, so that every resident has access to outdoor green space within steps of their front door. The building typology was developed to maximise natural cross-ventilation, with each block oriented to the prevailing south-west monsoon.
