Patio do Tijolo is Cipher's most significant project in Portugal -- a residential development that takes its name from the brick courtyard at its heart.
The design reinterprets the traditional Portuguese patio house for contemporary life: the courtyard becomes a shared garden of light at the centre of the building, while the surrounding apartments face both inward, to this communal space, and outward, to the city street. The interior design continues the material language of the exterior -- warm terracotta tones, exposed timber and the honest texture of handmade tile -- creating homes of genuine warmth and character.
